+ Are you hiding breastfeeding mothers?

Lactl is supporting all mom's right to feed their babies whenever and wherever they choose. Every mom is different - some prefer privacy due to their environment, their baby's needs, or it’s a personal preference. Either way, [Lactl privacy screens] are created to make sure all moms have a choice and access to a comfortable, dignified space if they want it.

+ How can I encourage my employer to get a lactation screen?

Sharing information is a great start. If they employ non-exempt employees, they are legally required to provide a nursing mother with a dedicated space to pump. Find out more about the protections your state provides on our Mom’s Rights page - or talk with your HR to see if you can set up a lactation policy for your company.

+ As an employer, what are my obligations?

If you employ non-exempt employees, the FLSA mandates you are legally required to provide mothers break times to pump within a dedicated lactation space - this is never a bathroom. In addition to the FLSA, many states and unions have additional legislation that protect breastfeeding women's rights to pump at work.
